Dr. Steven Weinhold, Superintendent, Union R-XI School District
“I’m very excited about the opportunity to come back home to Union,” said Weinhold. “It’s where I grew up, graduated and lived for 40-plus years. I have strong ties to the community and feel very strongly about the Union School District.”
Prior to Union, Dr. Weinhold served as superintendent in the Morgan County R-1 School District in Stover.
Weinhold has been a teacher and served as a building-level administrator in three school districts.
He worked for five years as assistant principal in Union Middle School, three years as head principal at Montgomery Middle School in Montgomery City, and eight years as the St. Clair Junior High School principal.
Weinhold earned his associate degree from East Central College, his bachelor’s degree from Central Missouri State, and his master’s and advanced administrator degrees from the University of Missouri, St. Louis. He earned his doctorate in educational leadership from Missouri Baptist University, St. Louis.
Additionally, Weinhold has completed a number of advanced training programs, served as a mentor to school principals, and has been a presenter at various state conferences and leadership academies.
