Sara Boucek, Associate Director/Legal Counsel, Illinois Association of School Administrators
Sara Boucek assumed her duties as Associate Director/Legal Counsel of the Illinois Association of School Administrators (IASA) on October 1, 2007. IASA is a statewide educational organization of over 1,750 members representing over 2 million students.
Sara is often a speaker at several state, local and national conferences on School Law, education reforms and administrative employment contracts. Additionally, Sara is actively engaged in the legislative process as it relates to educational issues and was and is involved in the drafting and implementation of reforms set forth in SB 315, SB7 and SB 100, as well as ESEA, HB 2683 and funding and accountability initiatives. She is deeply passionate about her work to better serve Illinois administrators and maximize the success of all Illinois children.
Prior to serving as IASA’s Associate Director/Legal Counsel, Ms. Boucek served as an attorney with the law firm of Hodges, Loizzi, Eisenhammer, Rodick & Kohn. She received her Juris Doctor from Chicago Kent College of Law in 2003 and her Bachelor of Science in Business from Eastern Illinois University in May 1999.
Sara participated in the School Safety & Security Symposium and she returned to Issues in Education for a special edition which aired live from the Old State Capitol, she also participated in the panel discussion of Age Appropriate School Safety & Security at the Annual Conference of IASB/IASA/Illinois ASBO in 2017.
